Annual meeting with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam-China cooperation, dispute resolution

of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung has conducted its annual meeting with
the Deputy Minister Chinese Foreign Ministry Liu Got Civil during a working visit to Vietnam.

meeting focused on exchanging the promotion of cooperation in the
fields and the border issue, the two countries' territory. At
the meeting, the two sides said that in the past year, Partnership

development of bilateral trade stable, balanced and sustainable; addressing
specific issues such as promoting the progress and ensure the quality
of the infrastructure projects, industrial parks, factories contracted
by China. The two sides will also effectively implement loans and non-refundable aid for Vietnam China; promote mutually beneficial cooperation between localities of the two countries.
Le Hoai Trung thanked China recently increased discharge flow
downstream Mekong countries to support overcome drought, saltwater
intrusion in the area of the Mekong Delta of Vietnam and proposed two the continued long-term cooperation in the management and sustainable use of water from rivers and M ekong. The two sides agreed to further promote the role of the Joint Committee on land border of Vietnam-China; performed well and soon proceed to review 5 years implementing the 3 documents on border management on the mainland; and maintain stability, cooperation and development of the two countries' border areas.
The two sides exchanged frank about maritime issues, agreed to promote
the existing negotiation mechanisms achieve substantive progress,
efforts to implement cooperation projects the two sides agreed.
Le Hoai Trung expressed deep concerns of Vietnam before the tense
situation and the implications of the recent complicated developments in
the South China Sea; reiterated
the need to strictly adhere to the agreement and the common perception
of senior leaders of the two parties and two countries, especially the
"Agreement on basic principles to solve the problem to direct
Vietnam-China sea Nations "; the two parties together control dissent in the sea, without complicating action, expand the dispute; settle disputes by peaceful means, in accordance with international law; including the Convention on the Law of the Sea United Nations in 1982; fully implement the "Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the
South China Sea" (DOC), the ASEAN countries soon complete construction
of "the Code of Conduct in the South China Sea" (COC).
